CHAPTER NINE; A BREAK FROM REALITY

As the semester ended, Alex and Stacy decided to take a break from their studies and each other. The tension between them had become palpable, and they needed some space.

Alex jetted off to the Maldives, eager to relax on pristine beaches and snorkel in crystal-clear waters. She stayed in a luxurious overwater bungalow, surrounded by breathtaking views. The sound of waves gently lapping against the shore lulled her into a peaceful sleep each night.

Ethan nodded understandingly. "Take your time, man. You'll sort it out."

I have been calling you ma'am,pls fasten your belt properly, we are about to land...

Oh I'm sorry, I was lost thank you!

No problem ma'am.

The plane landed safely and Alexa alighted to go meet her parents.

"She ought to have landed by now".

Her mother said looking around ,let me phone her...

Mum, see, she's coming

Her brother stretched his fingers to show their mother,then he ran to hug her, I have missed you so much sis.

I have missed you to my love,

Won't you give your mother a hug..?

Don't you miss me...?

Her mother said feigning annoyance..

Oh my lovely mother, how won't i miss you..?

You can't imagine how much i missed you,

I miss you too baby.

Then the happily family of three proceeded to their car.
