Lucian The rogue’s blade glistened under the sunlight as it pressed dangerously against the girl’s throat, drawing a thin line of blood that bead from where the blade broke her skin. The little girl whimpered, her big eyes wide and full of terror, and at that moment I felt my confidence waver. “I said drop your weapons,” the rogue snarled again, his voice dripping with malice. I clenched my fist tight beside me, my claws begging to free themselves between my folded palm. For a moment, I felt the urge to lunge at the rogue and save the poor girl.
