CHAPTER 24
Ruby woke up the next morning, feeling a slight headache.
She groaned as her eyes fluttered open, everything that happened last night coming back to her.
She was attacked but Jaxon came to her rescue and brought her back to his place.
She remembered having a fever and then he tended to her wounds and also to her.
Ruby's brows furrowed in confusion as that was too true to believe. She actually felt that was a dream because it was so unusual for Jaxon to care for someone, especially not her.
She slowly sat up from the bed and she noticed that her legs were covered in bandages. She felt a lot more better and safe than last night.
Then she noticed something usual, her whole body was clean and she was wearing a completely different set of clothes. Make clothes to be precise.
