Ruby stared at June, surprised to see her there.
"What are you doing here? She blurted out. Jaxon had not told her he was meeting her that day. But why would he? June only glanced at her with an irritated expression before saying,
"Shouldn't I be asking you that? You don't exactly have a place here." June spat with venom. She was looking at Ruby like she was the filth beneath her shoes.
Ruby's eyebrows shot up in shock. Wasn't this the same June who acted so sweet and docile when Jaxon was around? But now, she revealed her claws and showed how nasty she could be.
Gone were the innocent doe eyes and gentle expression. They had been replaced by angered eyes and a spiteful expression. She has even had Ruby fooled with her convincing act.
Ruby looked at June confused and won
