"Miss Davis," he puts his hand out for me to shake but lowers it after he sees my face red with dripping tears "is everything alright?" He gives me a soft smile.
"Yes, e-everything is fine." I choke through tears. He doesn't believe me but doesn't push it any further.
He begins walking into the Kings Corp building. "Chopra?" I stopped him "can we get a cup of coffee please?"
He turns back around to face me and nods, my tear filled eyes and hopeless face probably persuading him.
I didn't want to get a coffee with him, I didn't want to be near him but it was the first thing I could think of to get him out of Xavier's office.
