THE BOY SHE NEVER EXPECTED

469 Words
Twelve years later... The autumn breeze swept across Crescent Moon College as students hurried between classes. Laughter echoed through the campus, while groups of werewolves from different packs gathered beneath towering oak trees. Eighteen-year-old Ariel stepped through the front gate with a bright smile. Her long silver-blonde hair swayed gently behind her, and her sapphire-blue eyes sparkled with excitement. "This is finally my first day," she whispered. She had dreamed about attending Crescent Moon College ever since she was a little girl. It was one of the most prestigious colleges for young werewolves, where future Alphas, Betas, Gammas, and healers received their training. Beside her walked Ava. The once shy orphan had grown into a beautiful young woman with long dark hair and warm brown eyes. She smiled at Ariel. "You're smiling too much." Ariel laughed. "Can you blame me? We've waited for this day for years." Ava chuckled. "I suppose you're right." The two best friends walked toward the administration building, chatting about classes and new friends. Neither of them noticed the sudden silence spreading across the courtyard. Students began moving aside. "He's here..." "The Alpha of Blue Moon Pack..." "I heard he's the strongest student in the academy." Ariel frowned. "Who's everyone talking about?" Before Ava could answer, a black luxury SUV stopped in front of the main building. The driver stepped out and opened the rear door. A tall young man emerged. He had jet-black hair, piercing golden eyes, and an air of quiet confidence that made everyone instinctively step back. His powerful Alpha aura filled the courtyard. Girls whispered excitedly as he walked past. "He's even more handsome than the rumors said." "I wish he'd look at me." Ariel blinked. "So that's Alpha Aiden..." She had heard stories about him before. The future Alpha of the Blue Moon Pack. Brilliant. Powerful. Respected. But she had never seen him in person. As Aiden walked toward the building, his golden eyes briefly met Ariel's. For a moment... Time seemed to stop. Ariel quickly looked away, embarrassed. "Why is my heart beating so fast?" she muttered. Ava noticed the exchange and smiled teasingly. "Don't tell me our brave Ariel is blushing." "I am not!" "You definitely are." Ariel playfully nudged Ava's shoulder. "Stop teasing me." Unknown to them, Aiden glanced back once before disappearing into the building. Something about the silver-haired girl had caught his attention. He couldn't explain why. After collecting their schedules, Ariel and Ava headed toward their first lecture. As they entered the classroom, Ariel looked out the window and smiled to herself. She had no idea that meeting Alpha Aiden today was more than a simple coincidence. It was the beginning of a bond that would one day change her life forever—bringing her love, heartbreak, betrayal, and the strength to rise again.
