Chapter 25-02
I didn't see Joel until halfway through my shift. It was a Wednesday night and for some reason, it was really busy. I was stressed out and I kept screwing up the orders. It wasn't all bad as Kyle saved me, telling the customers I was like a little dancing monkey. He made do a dance for them and the customers laughed and didn't seem angry.
Joel looked just as stressed as I felt. He offered me a tight smile as he approached. He spoke quietly with Kyle first, which made me sad because I should have been so much more than Kyle.
