CHAPTER SIX The last thing I expected to see in my neighborhood grocery store while shopping for baby formula was a demon. Yet here one was, attacking us out of nowhere. Bo threw the box of diapers at the female head, hitting her in the nose with a loud crack. “Ugh!” she screamed. A trickle of blood streamed from one nostril. The demon’s swords struck the ground next to us, barely missing. Bo and I jumped up and scattered, each taking the opposite direction. I glanced around for Billy. He was flying fast toward the end of the aisle, toward the meat counter. I yelled his name and dashed after him. The demon shrieked and charged after me. “No you don’t!” Bo cried.
