CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR If you've never dipped yourself in lich water, do me a favor and don't. The supernatural effects of the water started working on me immediately. This water didn't feel like water. It was like heavy air. Heavy, suffocating air that forced my lungs to work twice as hard. Above, slanted light rays shone into the water from where we had entered. Bo, Seymour, and I were a tangled mess, and we sank like a giant boulder. Seymour blew bubbles and grabbed my shoulder. I could tell by the look in his eyes that he hadn't expected me to drag him into this water. I caught him off guard. I hadn't expected to throw myself in the water until about a minute ago, to tell you the truth. I didn't want to be in here with him either, but here we were, sinking and wrestling, suffocating
