Here they are, sitting on the floor, waiting for the man who they didn't even like. Seven was forced to wake up at 10:00 AM in the morning for a man she didn't even like. Remind them, she hated this guy. She hated these guys so much, though she was quite pissed off that she was even here, though she knew how much of fuss these guys (and girl) would make if they did not see that she has shown up, so here she was, sitting on the rock being the first to have shown up. Though, she mostly only has woken up this early because she heard somebody shouting "ice cream".
She felt a gentle tap on your shoulders.
"Oh, hey Shouko." She greeted, her head turned as she looked over her shoulder towards the girl. Shouko nearly smiled when she simply just pulled out the notebook, in which already had her greetings on it, and Seven's name.
Hello, Seven! How are you today?
"Um, not so good, Shouko. Not so good," Seven answered plainly as the girl in front of her frowned in concern. She scribbled down on her paper swiftly as she spun it around and practically shoved it in Seven's face.
Why not?!
"Woah!" Seven nearly laughed at her over-dramatic silent voice of concern, "it's nothing serious! I'm just forced to be a bodyguard for some douche bag."
Seven, you're really foul-mouthed!
"You've just noticed this now?!" She inquired loudly, as the girl giggled underneath Seven's shadow over-looming her sitting form, Seven should have shot up from her sitting position in surprised, nearly towering over this girl who would've typically been towering over Seven if she was still standing, "ugh, whatever. So, I'm assuming you're in the academy? Why aren't you in class?"
I just didn't want to attend today.
"Oh, what kind of field do you even want to get into?" She inquired, flopping down as she sat crisscrossed applesauce in front of her. Seven's hand slowly tracing up and down legs. From the corner of her eyes, she should have noticed a warm smile curling Shouko's lips, she rubbed her arms suddenly feeling timid around the girl in front of her.
Medical-nin
Seven blinked, "I knew it. You always had a motherly aura around you." she simply stated, Shouko blushed as she continued to fidget with her hands, she nodded her head as if she was saying 'I've always been told that'. Seven's eyes glanced around, noticing the three musketeers make their way towards the big ass entrance door. her hand planted on Shouko's shoulders as she practically lifted the overly thin girl off the floor, setting her down. She squeaked, taken aback by Seven's abrupt inhumane strength. Seven started to gently push her back towards the forest.
"Go back to class. My sensei's gonna come anytime now." The ghoul enlightened, attempting to save the girl from being scolded for skipping classes, she nodded frantically, gathering her bags which she had placed on the floor carelessly before making a dash towards the Academy.
"You're late,"
"You're late!" the three of them shouted in sync, however, Seven's and Sasuke's was a calmer tone in comparison to Sakura and Naruto's. Naruto grunted as he lifted himself up from the ground, he stretched as he got up. Before she could even say, "don't hit her Sharkeisha" Naruto had already dashed out of the gates faster than anybody else could've. He immediately took the lead as he stood in front of all of them. Meanwhile, the rest of them rolled their eyes in irritation.
"Yeeeeeeeahhh! All right! We're off!"
"What are you getting so worked up about, Naruto?" Sakura inquired dryly, walking side-by-side with Sasuke, while Seven walked on his other side. She merely stayed silent, watching all of this display in front of her very own eyes and ears.
"You see, I've never left the village before!" he exclaimed, glancing around the place in an overly-dramatic fashion, Seven nearly giggled at his childish charm.
"Hey! Am I really okay with this squirt?!" He sharply inquired, pointing an accusing finger at the boy in front of him. She rolled her eyes once again, nearly seeing her brain from the intense eye roll she should have just recently gone through. She crossed her arms, her Kakugan nearly activated on its own.
"I'm a Jonin. I'll be watching him. There's no need to worry." he assured, though Seven still stood there. Unwilling to protect this man, even giving him a single glance gave her the intense urge to strangle him to death, her hand pulsed as she balled her fist. The more he talks the more she wanted to pounce and just rid her life of this waste they labeled a man. "'Master bridge builder'? My ass." she thought.
"Hey, old man! Don't be mocking Ninjas so much, it's a big mistake! I'm awesome, you see! I'm a super-elite Ninja who will be called Hokage one day! My name's Naruto Uzumaki. You better believe it! Remember it well, old man!" Naruto's sudden declare nearly caused Seven her ears, it's near as if the longer he shouts the higher the pitch of his voice gets. The old man, however, deadpanned at Naruto, taking a sip with no care in the world.
"I'm wasting your time on him?" Seven hissed under her breath maliciously.
"The Hokage's the super top-dog in the village, right? You sure as heck don't seem like you could become the Hokage. The day you become Hokage, I'll spread wings and fly." He flippantly waved Naruto off, once again sipping from his bottle.
"Aaah! Shut up!" Naruto commanded, "I'm prepared to do whatever it takes to become Hokage! You'll have no choice but to acknowledge me then!"
"I'll never acknowledge you, you little squirt. Even if you become Hokage!"
"Can you both just shut up?" Seven inquired rudely, placing her hands on her hips as all eyes set on her tiny frame, "Old man, if you want to walk all by yourself, be my guest. I could honestly careless with your life."
"Believe it! Believe it! What she said!" Naruto exclaimed, pumping his fist into the air. The old man in front of Seven stood in silence, his straw hat covering the upper half of his face. She smirked as she continued to speak.
"You're already dying anyway." That seemed to have hit a nerve when he suddenly threw the bottle in her direction, though it missed miserably missed meanwhile, in a flash her feet were planted on his face in a comfortable manner, she sighed in annoyance, "did you actually just try to attack a Ninja, how retarded are you?"
"Seven, I told you were supposed to protect the client not smash his skull!" Kakashi practically leaped at her, with a single flick of his wrist he pulled her petite physique off the old man, he groans loudly as he forced himself up from his position. The old man muttered things under his breath, while he went ahead in front of the group, walking himself. He glanced at the rest of team, giving them a signal that got them to slowly begin following him while Kakashi scolded Seven.
"Seven, I heard your father was a human?" Sasuke suddenly inquired, the curiosity that was eating him alive earlier was finally going to be fed some proper answers, instead of theories, "How does that work?"
Everybody's ears perked up like a dog's, even the old man seemed interested in the question, like it was bazaar. Obviously, her father was a human, right? She merely shook her head at the curiosity. She knew for a fact Sakura was one of those girls who would practically die over being able to hear at least one romantic story, so here she was.
"Well, I could tell you the story of how they met, and how they fell in love, and also, for how my birth is possible? I was lucky I was even born, giving birth to a one-eyed is quite the rare chance actually." She began, the old man stayed clueless, however, he didn't want to speak up. Mainly because his childishness was stopping him from seeming anywhere near interested in the girl's stories.
"Oohh! A story!" Sakura squealed with delight, rubbing her shoulders.
"I suppose we'd at least have something to listen to on this journey." the boys whispered similar things along that line.
"Once upon a time..."
BRING OUT THE GHOULS!" he shouted, bringing the string of female girls chained along one other, they pulled on the chains. Digging it further into their flesh. Elizabeth's eyes glanced around the large, overly crowded tent. Her people injured from head to toes, including herself, her wounds were already beginning to heal at this point.
Elizabeth looked around, noticing her chain was given to someone else. He glanced up at her with such loathing eyes, leering at her frame with hatred and resentment. She rolled her eyes at how high up the humans make themselves to be as if their the only ones who deserved to live.
"You humans are such hypocrites," she spoke up, her voice dripping with milk and honey. The Ninja nearly had to look twice, shock by how gentle the voice of the ghouls was. The beauty that stood in front of him was a beast in disguise, he kept reminding himself that, but yet, he was always so interested in them. Secretive monsters they were.
"What are you on about, ghoul?" he hissed, pulling her along. They planned to rest for the night, and since they only had five ghouls, he was going to bring her to the basement, to chain them up for the night.
"You kill animals day and day, night and night, you call them livestock. Humiliate them. Abuse them. Treat them as if they weren't even living and breathing beings. Yet, when the same is being done to you, you cry and whine on and on, you make us out like the monsters you also are. Being an intelligent being doesn't give you rights to abuse and take away lives. However, that is the circle of life. Which is true the world is a cruel place. Though, why are humans so interested in us? We're merely predators. You call us monsters, but if we're monsters, what does that make you? The victims? Last time I checked, you're the monsters in their eyes. You've kept animals locked up and kept them as pets, keeping them in your home. Like an accessory."
"That's because..."
"The world does not belong to you humans, remember that." she stated dryly, deadpanning at his bewildered expression, "We've tried to live peacefully among you human, we've tried so hard to live our lives like you do. We've tried so hard to coexist."
"You kill humans!" he shouted, bickering back.
"What's so wrong with having the will to live? If people are all we can eat, then what other choice do we have?"
"....." he wasn't sure how to respond.
"I wasn't born normal, I wasn't born like anyone else... So I had to pretend to be normal, even when I'm not. I had to pretend to be something else, in order to live like you." A single tear dripped down her face, she lived a normal life with a boyfriend. With friends. With a job. With a home just like everybody else. There were ghouls living among humans along with her, but for her own boyfriend to rat her out like that. She finally knew how much of an irrational backstabbers humans were.
"I just...." she managed to choke out before her head snapped up at stare deep into his eyes, "want to live the same as you!"
"Well... that escalated..." he mumbled under his breath, unsure of how to respond.
"What's the use, you humans wouldn't understand a damned thing. Ya know, we might be monsters, but that doesn't mean we don't have...
a heart."
