Chapter 20: Casual Protection

"It seems I've overused my Sharingan," I crossed my arms over my chest and gave him a simple 'You don't say' look, he merely rolled his eyes, and grunted in pain. No doubt aching. "Do not say anything, Seven," he demanded with a glare and I held my hands up in surrender as I cackled evilly. I stiffened when I hear Naruto announcing that Sensei was awake, and that's my cue to leave. "See ya later, Sensei." I bid as I passed the rest, I could feel him glaring holes into the back of my head, but right now I don't feel like being cooped up in a room with my problematic teammates, and undoubtedly, the most annoying squad to ever have existed on the face of this Earth. Making my way out of the lot and onto the road as I continued to explore around the place, and then my eyes landed on a very familiar bush of strawberry blonde hair, the corner of my lips twitches upwards as I quietly tip-toed my way towards the unsuspecting girl. Did I walk all the way back to the village, along with boating there? Yes. Was it because I wasn't comfortable sleeping there? Yes. "What is that? Let me see it!" A masculine voice gushed amusingly, I rose an elegant brow in confusion. Until I noticed Shouko was, in fact, holding something in her hand, I jotted in surprise when a brunette snatched the object from her hand and threw it towards the boy, it landing perfectly in his hand. He laughed loudly, "What is this?! Eww, it has something on it!" he threw the object on the floor and stepped on it rapidly, probably breaking it. What the fuck.. my body instinctively jumped into action and rushed towards the said group of teenagers and shoved the boy out of the way. "Hey!" "What the f**k is wrong with you?!" I screeched loudly, hissing at him. A hearing aid. They f*****g took her hearing aid and broke it. I could feel my veins about to pop in complete and utter annoyance, my hand reached out and gripped at the front of his shirt, and he yelped in surprise, his wide eyes staring at me in fear and confusion. "If I see any of you anywhere near her, I will f*****g eat you alive." "Excuse me?" the brunette said, she seemed to be the only one who has the nerves to take a step forward. The rest was backing away in fear, putting some distance between themselves and me. My eyes narrowed on her. "You f*****g heard me." I shoved the boy who exclaimed and stumbled before landing on his ass with a loud "oooft!" "Se-Sevannn..." the soft whispers of my name took me by surprise, slowly turning to her and quickly ruffled my hair in exasperation. Deciding that I've had enough of these scared little children eyeing me down as if I was gonna pounce any second like a tiger. My hand snatched Shouko's wrist as I pulled her along with me, bending down to pick up her notebook and pen as I made my way away from the group of fuckfaces. My ears didn't miss the things they were saying, though I was also grumbling to myself. Shouko was struggling to keep up while I pulled her as far away from the group as I possibly could before I stopped abruptly and turned to her with a 'what the f**k' expression, she averted eye contact as soon as my eyes landed on her own. I huffed, "the f**k, Shouko?" Did I forget that she was deaf? Yes. Did I just realize how stupid I look at the moment? Yes. She yelped, startled when my hand tapped her cheeks. Her head snapped up in confusion before I glared at her. Since the notebook was still tightly in my grasp and wrote a simple; Wanna hang out? Her eyes glinted with delight and surprise before she nodded her head eagerly and rapidly. She's acting as if nobody has ever asked her to hang out before. Do you have an extra hearing aid? She nodded her head, and I sighed in relief. You need to teach me how to do sign language. All this writing is getting on my nerves. She giggled in amusement in response to my whining. My eyes wondered over her shoulders to glare behind her. So, she's being bullied. Not for long. Huffing in annoyance before gesturing for her to lead the way, it took her a while to get the hint but she finally perked up and made her way to her house - so I assumed -- when she has her hearing aids it'll be a lot easier for me to communicate with the girl.
