Chapter 13

Looking at the caller ID on my, I saw that Stiles was calling.

''Hello?'' I said after I picked it up.

''Penny, I have to show you something really important.'' Stiles said.

''Are you at Lydia's?'' I asked, basically ignoring what he just said.

''Yes, I am, but I need to-''

''Is she okay? Can I talk to her?'' I cut him off. I still haven't heard from her today.

''She's fine, but you can't talk to her because she's prescription drugged.'' he explained and my eyes widened. Was what she saw that bad?

''Is that Penny?'' I heard her voice asking from the background. Yep, she was drugged alright...

''Yes, it's Penny, Lydia-''

''Penny, hi!'' Lydia said. I guessed that she had taken his phone away.

''Hi Lydia. How are you doing?'' I chuckled at her drugged self.

''I'm bored. I want to go shopping.'' she said, you could hear the pout in her slow, almost dreamy voice.

I laughed quietly whilst rolling my eyes. ''We can go shopping another time, Lydia.''

''Okay," she said, giggling. "Hey, can I ask you a question?''

''What is it?''

''What the hell is a Stiles?''

''Okay, that's enough, Lydia. Give me the phone,'' Stiles said from the background while I laughed at her. "Sorry 'bout that. Anyways, you have to see this picture that I'm about to send you. I got it from Lydia's phone, she must've taken it by accident.''

''What's it about?''

''Last night,'' he replied. "What you're about to see is the reason why Lydia's prescription drugged. I'll send it to you right now."

''I'll be waiting, then.'' was what I said before I hung up.

''Is Lydia alright?'' Karen asked, sitting down next to me.

I nodded. ''She's fine. Just a little stressed.''

After a few seconds, I received a message, a picture message. When I opened it, I saw what Stiles wanted me to see. In the picture, you could catch a glance of the creature that had jumped out and broken the glass from what seemed to be a*****e, but it was not too clear, since it was blurry. You could somehow tell what it was, though, and my eyes got wide before I received another text message.

Did you see the pic?

I wasted no time in replying:

Yes, I did. My God, so that's an Alpha?

He replied 10 seconds later:

Yes

I sighed. It was a big thing, bigger than Scott and even bigger than Derek. With that thought in mind, I decided to call Scott. I wasn't sure if Stiles had also sent him the video, but he needed to see it as soon as possible. But he didn't pick up because his phone seemed to be turned off. I then tried calling Allison, but it was the same thing, so I figured they were "busy" together...

Scott's POV

I probably looked like an i***t standing next to my locker and thinking about yesterday. But I didn't care, because yesterday was probably one of the best days of my life. Allison and I skipped class, we walked around the nearest park, we talked, laughed, kissed, and we just had the best of times. Just the thought of it all made me smile instantly. ''Hey, McCall!'' a voice said, and I quickly recognized it, and I did not like it one bit.

Turning around to face the person calling, I groaned. ''What do you want, Calvin?''

I never liked Calvin, not at all. I always felt like there was something fishy about him. And it didn't help that he was friends with Jackson, who was probably the worst of them all. ''Can you tell me something about Penny? You know, like her favorites? Like, what's her favorite flower, for example?'' he asked.

I stared at him in disbelief. Was he seriously trying to get with Penny now?

I scoffed and folded my arms across my chest. ''And why would I tell you?"

''Oh, well, we're going on a date tonight and I want to do something nice for her.'' he replied with a smirk on his face.

What the hell did he just say? ''Penny would never go out with you.''

He raised an eyebrow. ''Oh really? Well, for your information she already agreed to it, and hopefully this won't be the last time we go out.''

My eyes went wide and suddenly there was a pin in my stomach. Penny could've gotten any other guy from school, but she decided to go out with this guy? I got it, he was good looking, and apparently girls found him charming, but why was Penny, out of all girls, going out with him?

Still, I found myself sighing and answering his previous question, because at the end of the day I couldn't do anything about it. ''Her favorite flowers are daisies.''

"Wow," he said, and I mentally punched his stupid face. "Interesting pick, very different from what I was thinking. I knew I liked her for a reason."

At this point, I was starting to feel sick because of this situation. I could not wrap my head around the fact that Penny was going out with Calvin, it was bothering me too much and I couldn't ignore it. ''Is that all you wanted to ask me?'' I asked through gritted teeth.

He snapped out of his thoughts and nodded. ''Yeah, thanks McCall. Goodbye.''

When he started to walk past me, I was quick to grab his arm. ''Wait.''

''What?'' he said, looking from my hand to my face.

''Take care of her. And if you hurt her, I swear that I will personally break every bone that's in your body.'' I threatened, slightly digging my nails into his arm to state a point.

He tried to hide the fact that he felt intimidated for a moment. ''Don't worry. I won't.''

I let go of his arm, giving him one last glare, and then he walked away.

I should've been happy for Penny, it was going to be her first date with a guy, and she really deserved it. But, I was just afraid that she would up getting hurt. I knew how Calvin was. He was always a huge flirt and every girl that had dated them ended up crying hysterically in the hallways because he had abruptly broken up with them. I didn't want the same to happen to Penny, she deserved so much better than him, way better. She was the sweetest, nicest, and most caring girl I had known. Sure, she had her moments, everyone does, but she was still an amazing person. I just hoped that she didn't get her heart broken, because if she did, then I was going to have no other choice but to kick his ass...
