As I walked around the corner, I saw the thing that had scared Selene so much, and I immediately stopped. My mouth fell open. Blood was everywhere. A huge pool of blood sat right behind her back door, enough to make it look like a full-grown rabbit or a large bird had completely lost all its blood there.
Dark red drops were spread across her door and scattered down the steps leading into the backyard.
“What the f**k,” I quietly said to myself.
