As soon as Orion opened the door, Kael came running down the hallway. The boy standing outside looked surprised when he saw such a large man answering the door. There was no way the boys Kael had met had missed seeing how much Kael looked like the new pack alpha, but actually standing face-to-face with Orion was probably a little intimidating.
“Uh, hi. You’re Orion Blackthorne, right?” the boy asked nervously.
Orion folded his arms and nodded. “That’s right. Your last name is Kissel, isn’t it?”
The boy nodded. “Yeah. Braylen Kissel. Uh, sir.”
Orion smiled and stepped aside to let him come in. “I always liked your dad. He comes from a good family.”
Relief immediately appeared on Braylen’s face as he smiled back. “Thanks. I’ll tell him you said that.”
Braylen introduced himself to me.
