CHAPTER FIFTY-SEVEN: LOOKING FOR THALIA (PART THREE)

1441 Words

RAGNAR’S POV Caleb’s question didn't catch me off guard. Deep down, the exact same terrifying thought had been clawing at the back of my mind ever since that red-haired bastard pinned me to the dirt. “I'm not certain,” I told Caleb, my voice tight. I forced myself to take a slow breath, setting my grievances against him aside for the first time. The jealousy and the anger didn't matter anymore. Not when Thalia was out there in danger. “But if we want to find her and Eileen, we have to work together. We don't have a choice.” Caleb looked at me, his eyes dark with the same heavy worry that was suffocating me. He nodded once. It was already so late, and the silence of the curfew hours made the dread feel even heavier. We couldn't just sit in our room and do nothing. We had to find them.
