The passionate energy swelled in the air as the angry mob surged toward the building, ready to get their revenge. Everyone here had been put through hell at the hands of this company, and they were more than willing to repay the favor. Cara and Thea didn’t join in the fervent screams. They simply walked silently ahead as the angry hive buzzed around them. They stayed calm in the middle of the storm. There was a giant explosion ahead of them, followed by a ball of fire and smoke. When it cleared, there was a gaping hole where the front door had been. Cara kept walking, one broken foot in front of the other. When she crossed the threshold with Thea’s help, she saw the front desk amidst the rubble. Behind it, cowering like a fool was the security guard that had made those unwanted advances
