Alisa's pov

“Ma’am, the kids are ready” The young girl’s voice pulled me out of my thoughts.

“Oh…Thank you, Make sure they aren't roaming the hall, when it is time for the party. I want them in their room, eyes on them” I said, turning to her.

“Yes Ma” she said and left the room. It has been five years since I was taken from my room and those strange men tried to kill me.

They hit me until I passed out, thinking that I had died. I still remember that day very clearly, the day I was hurt by my mate and the day I found my birth pack.

And my family.

I remembered the words of those men as they hit me, ‘Your mate doesn't want you this very much that he sent us to kill you, to make sure you won't be a problem’ their laughs still echo in my head.

I begged, cried and held my stomach to protect my…Children, I cried for not being able to protect myself. It wasn't enough for him when he rejected me. He wants to take my life.

That day after I woke up again after being tortured and wounded, I crawled away from the spot. I don't know how long I crawled for but I made sure I found people.

And those people were the pack members of the Ashenridge pack and My brother is the alpha.

All my life, I had thought I didn't really have anyone and it turns out. I was misplaced as a baby after an attack and that was how I ended up in the Redpine pack as an Orphan who they all hate and resent.

A bitter laugh escaped, I don't know if I cursed that day or to be grateful. I thought I lost everything but turns out I found everything, my triplet and my biological family.

The triplets. Nobody knows about them and the moon goddess mark on them, people thought they were regular triplets and I am planning to make it stay that way. I knew if Hannes or any other person knew about them they would come for them. I am going to protect them, even if it means dying.

I glanced at the birthmark on my lower arm, the one that gave me the chance at everything and this time, I want revenge from those that had hurt me.

I want them to feel how they have treated me.

“Why are you not getting dressed, Sister?” I heard from my brother, Linus over the years our relationship and growing up, I learned to trust him even though I now had a lot of trust issues. He is one of the best Uncles to my triplet, Leo, Nell, and Shiloh.

“I will just resting” I lied,

“Resting? Don't tell me you're thinking about…,” he said, walking further into the room.

“I am not,” I lied, “Well I did but I went for a run in the woods and…” I saw him, I wanted to say but I didn't.

Linus sat beside me, “I heard the Alpha of the redpine is here. If you don't want to come to the grand assembly, I will understand because if he tries anything…” Linus said, I know he is about to leave.

Linus knew everything about what happened, I opened up to him almost a year after my children were born, he couldn't believe I was the one destined to conceive The Moonmarked Trinity but he had helped me protect them and hid the secret.

I placed my hand over his, “I am fine and I am not the same person and he wouldn't try anything funny here” I assured my brother.

“And we should talk about the prophecy and the triplets…,” he began, I shook my head, agreeing. I knew that they would start showing their powers, and I needed a place for them to be doing that without the world coming after them.

“Let’s do that later,”

“Alright, get dressed. Everyone wants to meet you, Rosamund.” my brother said, using the name our parents gave me.

I smiled, I now go by Rosamund. Alisa died that night. Hannes killed her and I am going to get my revenge.

I walked down the stairs, heads turned and started mumbling and whispering. I straightened my back and put my chin up.

When I reached the bottom of the stairs, Chester, my brother's Beta, walked up to me.

“You look beautiful” he complimented with a bright smile, he put a hand forward for me to take.

“Thank you, Chester. You look amazing yourself” I complimented, I took his outstretched hand and stepped down the stairs.

“I will introduce you to some people, They are very excited to meet you” he said, “How are the triplet?” He asked.

“They are fine, I have someone watching them” I replied, a woman and man walked towards I and Chester’s direction.

“Alpha Viktor,” Chester called to the Man, Both the man and the woman were smiling.

“We came to introduce ourselves to the Woman who had changed many things from the shadows. We are really excited to meet you.” The man said, the woman smiled too.

“Thank you” i smiled, we exchanged few words and they left

“Look, they are happy to talk to the great diplomat.” Chester jested, I smiled, shaking my head at him.

“I should thank you and my brother for your support” I tell him,

“Nah, you did it all by yourself, you are the greatest Ga…” Chester said but he was cut off by a pack member who had something to ask him. “I will be back” he tells me before leaving with the pack member.

I exchanged greetings with some people and had some talks then I finally moved near an empty table to sit.

When a waitress passed by me I picked up a drink as I watched my brother step down the stairs to the platform to give a speech.

I glanced at my wrist watch around my wrist, I can't wait to get out of here, I have a lot of work to do.

Then I heard a very familiar voice, I turned and it was Regina. “Alisa?” She called with shock when she saw me. “You are not dead?” She seemed to be surprised to see me alive.

I am sure she knows about her nephew's plan to kill me, "I think you had the wrong person,” I said coldly, not giving any expression of recognition.

“Who is the bastard you ran away with?” She gritted out as she stepped closer.

“Excuse me?. I am not Alisa. I will prefer it if you leave,” I told her, anger flashed in her eyes as she raised her hand.

I frowned and held her hand. “I know it is you, don't you dare pretend that it is not you. You left with you lover after killing my nephew's heir!,” she said in anger, bringing people's attention to us.

“I don't know you, and I am sure you had mistaken me for Alisa or whatever her name is..,” I paused and leaned closer.

“You are barking to the wrong tree, old lady and I am not sure you want to know the consequences…,” I said, pushing her away. I gave her a smile, leaving her shocked

“Enjoy the party,” But before I could move she grabbed my hand pulling me back.

“You are not leaving!,” she said, holding my hand tightly.

“You are messing with the Gamma…,”

“You a gamma?. You are delusional, I knew you ran away with a lover and now you have landed yourself in some Alpha's bed…I am going to tell everyone here about you,” Regina said, " I have never seen her this dramatic.

She was always calm and cold. I think me being alive or something set her up.

“That Alisa must be scared of you…,” I said coldly.

“If you don't let me go I would call the guards to throw you out because of assault and disrespect,” I threatened, the anger I have held for years surface, I clench my fist.

I was about to turn to leave when Hannes himself walked past me to Regina. My breath hitched. He didn't notice me, I should leave but I wanted to see his face when see me.

“Aunt stop it, you can't do this here” Hannes said to his aunt. “I am sorry, Miss…” He looked up, shock was written all over his face before he tailored his expression. “Alisa?”
