Hannes' pov
“Alisa?”
Alisa stood straight, her face expressionless. She looked different, older, wiser, everything about her had changed.
Her hair cascaded around her shoulders, they used to be curling but now it is straight, The dress she was wearing clung to her body, curves and dips.
She looks more beautiful .
She didn't say a word before turning to leave, Anger rushed through me. Is she really going to run away after all that had happened.
After she betrayed me, conceived another man's child then disappeared for five good years and now that she sees me, she wants to walk away.
I followed her immediately, ignoring my aunt's call. “Alisa” I called as I grabbed her hand, “You are going to run away like you did after what you did to me!” I gritted out, My words caught the attention of the rest of the guests.
“Let go of me, Mr” she said, firmly her voice cold and very distant. Not cause a scene. I pulled her with me as she struggled and we walked into a balcony and I finally let go of her.
“Mr?. Don't act like you don't know me Alisa. Don't act like you had the right to leave here as if nothing had happened,” I said, she frowned.
“I am not Alisa,” she said coldly, but the voice was the same but with authority…
“And you are?,” she asked, blinking. I stood there shocked and confused. I knew she was Alisa but she was trying to escape me, she was playing dumb with me. My eyes caught her birthmark. I smirked
I pulled her closer to me, holding her tighter. “Don't play dumb with me, Alisa. That birth mark…,” I said, she smirked and pulled away from me but I held her tighter and tried using my Alpha commandments.
“You got pregnant with another man's child and ran away, how dare you do that?,” I asked as she scoffed.
“Is that what you wanted yourself to believe? Or you are just playing dumb, Alpha Hannes,” she said to me, something flashed through her eyes. I frowned, confused, what is she talking about? She was the one who left with a lover! And carried his child. I remained silent looking at the woman in front of me
She is now different, her eyes were expressionless…dangerous. She didn't hide her smirk…
“Let’s stop this game and ignore each other pretending like we don't know each other. You don't want to make Alpha Linu angry…,” she said coldly, stepping from me.
My jaw clenched. “You don't want people gossip about how you harass an innocent woman..,”
I stepped back, I had a reputation to protect but if she was thinking she was just going to leave her without me.
“Hannes,” my aunt called, I turned to look at her, while holding Alisa's hands.
“She called herself…,” my aunt said, but I cut her off.
“Aunt, can you excuse us? I need to talk to her privately…and you are coming with me,” I said to Alisa, Alisa tried to pull my had off her.
“Let me go,”
“If you don't follow me I will have a talk with Alpha Linus to throw you out!,” I snapped at Alisa.
“Alpha Hannes” I turned to the owner of the voice. Linus.
“What is going on here?,” he asked, Alisa pulled away from me completely, hiding behind Linus.
“Are you okay?” Linus asked, Alisa smiled and nodded.
I frowned, “How did you know her?” I asked, surprised at how Linus knew her.
“Rosamund?” Alpha Linus turned to me, “she is member of my pack”
Rosamund?
“I knew it I was guessing but now I have confirmed, the Alpha bed's is the Ashenridge pack Alpha…,”
“Anut?!,” I snapped at my aunt, I needed to think but she kept getting in the way. So her new lover or lover is Linus, no wonder he was rude…
Rosamund? I repeated again under my breath.
She changed her name too, I scoffed
“She can't be trusted, She is…” I said, I can't believe she is with him. How did she even do that?
Did she cheat on me with him?
“Do you know him?” He asked Alisa,
“No, I don't he must have mistake me for someone else” Alisa replied,
“Don't lie, Ailsa. Tell him who you really are?” I stepped closer but Alpha Linus stepped in front of her.
“Her name is Rosamund not Ailsa and the lady said she doesn't know you” he said, “it will be bad if anyone hears about it” Alpha Linus said, his voice was firm.
I knew I had to back down for now but not without exposing her lies, I watched as she put her arm around Alpha Linus's arm.
My hands fisted, I don't understand why she did all this. Played me like that and now she is on another Alpha's arm.
I kept a straight face, I still want to have the Alpha's approval on the border land. “I am sorry Ms Rosamund,” I said, my teeth gritting.
“If you would excuse me, I would like to take my leave” I brushed past them but stopped when Alpha Linus called me.
“Alpha Hannes, I thought you were talking about the border land to the Gamma?” He said, I turned fully to him.
“I haven't met the Gamma yet” I replied,
“Oh…I guess you didn't know,” he turned to Alisa. A smriked appeared on Linus face. “This is the pack’s Gamma, Ms Rosamund”
“She is the Gamma?,”
“How?...,”
“Miss Rosamond is the Gamma…,” Linus repeated
