Lizzy p.o.v.

“ Hey Soph you okay ? You had me a little worried back there. “ I say loud enough for the boys to hear so they know I’m checking on her and don’t come down too.

Sophia opens the door farther and lets me in then shuts it behind me and locks it. “Yeah Lizzy I’m fine I promise just too much whiskey you know.” She says while biting the corner of her lip . Which I know is her tell for when she is lying.

I have a decision to make 1) I can leave it alone and play dumb and go along with what she just said 2) I tell her I know she is lying and make her confess or 3) which is my favorite and always works on her or it used to . The do nothing and just stare she will confess all on her own.

Just as I predicted she caves , and pretty quickly too which is a sign it’s a juicy lie.

“ Okay I forgot how well you know me, so I haven’t actually drank that much. I … I uhh I’m just going to spit it out I’m sleeping with Lee. Oh my god I can’t believe I just admitted that. Oh it feels good to say that aloud. You can’t tell Jordan, I know it’s a lot to ask but please . This is so new and you know how Jordan is .”

I grab Sophia’s hands and pull her into a hug. “ I won’t tell Jordan but you two need to figure out what your doing because he ain’t stupid. Once he gets rest and has a clear mind you won’t be able to get away with the dinner show again. “

Sophia’s p.o.v.

“Was it that noticeable? I’m so sorry it’s your night and your in here checking on me. I’m good I promise that man is just intense. You know how it was with Oliver, I’ve told you before let’s just say time didn’t change anything. Same old same old nothing new or exciting. Honestly I can’t blame him for cheating . “

“Don’t say that it’s never okay to be cheated on , you deserve better than that. I hope you find it with Lee. I know your not out as a couple but you look happy.” Lizzy said

“ I am happy and Oliver cheating made me do the one thing I should have done ages ago but was scared to. Me and Lee however we’re not a couple I don’t know what we are it hasn’t even been 24 hours. It’s just really amazing s*x and I don’t know where this is going . Hell I don’t know anything at the moment.

I mean I lost my job, my relationship, and no way do I want to go back to that apartment. I’m crashing in my brothers guesthouse. Before I even consider jumping into something serious I need a plan. “

Lizzy looks at her watch “ okay we’ve been in here long enough they are gonna start to worry. I’ll head out first and let them know your okay.”

I thank Lizzy then give her another big hug and promise to never lose touch again. I mean I can’t she is gonna be my sister soon.

Lizzy p.o.v.

“ She’s all good fellas just a little to much to drink. She’ll be fine with a good nights sleep and maybe some aspirin.” Hoping I sound convincing enough to have them drop it.

“ If she needs the guest room up here she can stay for tonight. I mean I’m sure you two have a lot to catch up on. “ Jordan offers sweetly

One of the many reason I love this man. But I can see on Lee’s face he has other plans for my old friend. I decide to jump in and save him and give him a hint that I know.

“ I’d love to catch up with Sophia, that’s why we planned to spend tomorrow together. She’s going to help me do some wedding errands. I was really hoping to spend some alone time with my man . I don’t like spending even one night apart.” I lean in closer to Jordan and whisper in his ear “ I went shopping at your favorite store “ then I winked at him.

Lee takes that cue to jump in and offer to make sure she gets to her room okay and even offers to carry her if need be. Stating that they have imposed on us enough for one night.

Lee’s lucky Jordan’s distracted because he was way to willing to carry Sophia and had a huge grin on his face.

Sophia p.o.v.

“ Sorry guys I think I’m gonna have to turn in , today was a lot and has taken a toll on me. “

Lizzy cuts in before Jordan can get a word out and reminds me of the plans we made for tomorrow. Plans that we never actually made, but I just went along with it. I’m sure she has her reason and would explain later.

“ Right exactly so I need a good nights sleep so I’m gonna head on down now. Thank you Jordan for dinner, thank you Lizzy for everything.

Oliver p.o.v.

I got a few of my men in Ewing watching Sophia. Ever since my uncle died my grandfather only had my mom . He refused to let his only child left to come to any harm so he sent men to my hometown.

He had some here in Ringgold too, I just don’t know it. About 4 of my fraternity brothers and at least 1 professor.

Now since my grandfather was murdered I placed more men on my parents. With me and my mom being the only heir to the Sorento family the prices on our heads are high.

Not just from the government looking to crack down on mob related crimes. But from other “ FAMILIES “ wanting to take us out of the game. They don’t think I am capable of continuing my grandfathers legacy.

With Sophia out of picture now I can full engross myself in the life. My mom called me to say she saw Mrs. Hill around town and they had some unpleasant words.

Mom was all fired up, “ if she only knew I could have her dealt with so fast.” I couldn’t help but laugh. My mom was never one to believe in all this crime family business.

My parents marriage was an arranged one, to combine the two local “ FAMILIES “ . On my dad’s side the “ MARLO’S. “I am no where near being the head of the family.

My dad is the youngest of 7 boys and they all got boys. So my parents make sure when my uncle died I was ready to step up . I don’t sometimes wonder if my dad didn’t have something to do with that.

Anyways my guy watching Sophia said he saw her head into the grocery store. He was a little afraid to continue his story . He said she seemed happy real happy.

Then he watched her head into the outlet mall. Again not wanting to finish his story. I’m starting to lose my patience with this man.

“ If you want to keep your job and life spit it out already.”

“ Sorry Sir, after the grocery store I followed her to the outlet mall. She went into Victoria Secret’s, she came out with two small bags.” Frank went on mumbling but did stopped listening.

I can’t believe it she moved on, she never would have stepped into a place like that when we were together. She’s only been home a day and she’s out to meet a new guy.

Frank then said something I hadn’t been expecting to hear. “ I heard around town that navy seal guy Lee Jones is staying at Jordan’s house as well.”

Fucking hell Lee Jones is no joke that man was a beast before he joined the seal team. If he’s back after 5 years and at Jordan’s place I’ve lost her for good.

I wasn’t stupid when we first started dating all the girls in our town had a crush on Lee or Jordan himself. Sophia was no different, she had a thing for Lee big time .

Looks like I’m going to have to make that trip home after all. I first got to clean up the Sandra mess. She is done here, if I want any chance of getting Sophia back I need to take care of her.
