Fuck that took longer than I hoped, I feel bad for running out on them at breakfast but they are both adults. They don’t need me around babysitting them.

Well maybe Sophia does, I don’t know how to help her out of this mess. At least in a way that won’t piss her off. I hated the idea of her staying in Ringgold, Ga after she graduated but she’s stubborn . Can’t blame her all of us Hill’s posses that trait.

Now that she’s here though maybe I can convince her to stay. Maybe if not for me but for mom and dad. Their getting up there in age and I’m sure they’d love to have their baby closer. I get it 3 hours ain’t that far from Ewing but had I known about Oliver earlier. Guess it’s a good thing she didn’t call, the way he treated her he’d be a dead man.

Jordan chuckles softly to himself I could make that possible actually, my best friend is a gun for hire. I’m sure he’d love to get his hands on that sleaze just as much as I do.

Pulling into the drive I reach over and pick up my phone. Looks like I missed a call and 3 text from Lizzy. f**k I was supposed to have lunch with her. Quickly I dial her number knowing already she will forgive me once I explain what’s happened .

“ Hey, honey sorry I didn’t answer it’s been a rough morning. Before you say anything why don’t you come to the house for dinner and I’ll explain. Sophia is home and I’m sure she could use a friend. It’s a long story, I’ll explain all at dinner. I love you too “

Having Lizzy agree to come home for dinner is exactly what I needed. Hopefully her presence will make the conversation I plan to have with Sophia easier.

I haven’t told Sophia or Lee for that matter that we are engaged and that Lizzy moved in 8 months ago . Or that we got engaged here recently . After seeing the way Lee was living in Tennessee a few months back I knew I didn’t want to be a bachelor forever like him. I loved hearing his stories as wild as they were but I know he’s a lonely guy. I wanted to tell them both right away but life got in the way. It’s now it never tonight.

So when he asked if he could stay in the guest house I couldn’t say no. I did however ask Lizzy to give me the first night with him alone. I planned to tell him about Lizzy moving in and the engagement at lunch with her . However plans changed when Sophia showed up late last night and Oliver calling early this morning.

Now I got a mess on my hands to try and clean up. Being the older brother and more adult in both of these two relationships I owed it to my friend and little sister. So I got my friend in my guesthouse plus my sister in my guesthouse . What could go wrong here, hopefully they won’t get on each other’s nerves. I never know how they will react to things. They are both hot heads sometimes and being forced to be in each other’s company might entertain me.

Along with me telling them both I not only am engaged and living with someone but it being Sophia’s high school friend. They lost touch shortly after she left for school. Sophia was so determined to become this huge photographer she let everything else slip to the weigh side.

Things with Lizzy started out slow first year or so we just hung out and talked about Sophia then it turned into more. About a year ago she moved in with me after she helped me renovate my house. Lizzy eye for design is the best I’ve ever seen.

That’s why I always use her company to stage the houses we sell. It’s turned into a family business I guess you’d say. Even though mom and dad are slowing down their real estate company is doing great. Me and my guys build the houses, Lizzy comes in and stages them then mom and dad swoop in and sell them.

If only Sophia and even Lee could see the potential here for a good life. Sophia could start a photography studio and on the side take all the photos all 3 company’s need. She would be set for life, if only she’d listen to reason.

Lee god he could have any job he wants, that man is multi-talented. At one point we talked about starting a business together. This was supposed to be our dream but with what happened to his parents he couldn’t stay. I don’t blame the guy for leaving just wished like Sophia he’d reconsider.

I hate having to always be the voice of reason for these two but they get so stuck in their own ways. I swear the two of them together would be my nightmare. I can imagine it now the two of them siding against me all of the time.

Good thing I don’t have to worry about that Lee isn’t into relationships and Sophia I just don’t see Lee as her type. I mean Lee and Oliver are so different .

They both need some time to recover and move past all their drama . I would love to be able call either of them up when I want and be like hey let’s hang out .

To have them both here in Ewing full time, man that would be great. Hopefully I can convince them both to stay long enough for the wedding.

Oliver p.o.v.

It’s been a full 24 hours almost and I haven’t heard from Sophia. At least I know she is safe in Ewing with her family. By now I’m sure mom and pop Hill know the basics of what happened.

When I called my parents to let them know Sophia left me I got an ear full. My mom tried to assure me it’s fine since she was never introduced into the life she should be safe.

My dad on the other hand is so pissed, he thinks I f****d up big time which I did. He’s urging me to come to Ewing to try and win her back. I honestly don’t think she will take me back and I can’t blame her.

I need to make sure though that everyone in the “FAMILY “ knows that even if we are not together anymore she is still to be protected. My mistake of trusting Sandra is not going to cost Sophia her life.
