I’d almost forgotten that Illy’s birthday was this week. Sunday, Jonah and I went to the store to get a few gifts for Illy and I picked up stuff to make her a cake. Tristan came home after school on Monday. He told me all about his sleepover at his friend’s house and his weekend with his father; from what Tristan told me, they didn’t really do too much.
Tuesday we had our visit with the kids. Jonah decided to have it at Chuck E Cheese. The place was nothing like it used to be. A lot of the games weren’t running. Even the prizes you get when turning in tickets weren’t like they used to be.
Illianna brought up her birthday. “I don’t want a party but can we at least have cake?” she asked us.
