Brookes surprise interview

It was early on a Friday morning, Brooke was always happy she didn't work Fridays as it was one of the diner's busier days and it was bad enough on a normal day.

Brooke woke up in a very good mood today as it is moving day, she was so excited she decided to skip breakfast and went on to check she had packed everything she needed into her car.

All packed up and ready to go she called her mum and dad to let them know she was going and she would be back over at the weekend for a family Sunday dinner,

Brooke headed off to her new home and unpacked, while she was settling in she decided to have a look through her dating profile.

 To her surprise she had a few messages, she spent the weekend talking to these guys while she was getting used her surroundings and enjoying her weekend off.

Monday morning Brooke woke up to get ready for another dreaded week at work,

she noticed a message on her phone, it was levi informing her he would be back Thursday and that they should go out for a meal to welcome her to the house.

Brooke headed into work and booked the Thursday afternoon off, she told them she had an appointment however this was the day of the big interview.

feeling excited about the interview Brooke just kept telling herself I only have to get through til Thursday and see what come of this interview, feeling hopeful about the whole potential job change.

As thurday approaches Brooke was feeling deflated, but she made it through what seems for the first time in ages a good shift.

after work Brooke heads straight home to change and shower she only has an hour and half to be there, so she tried to hurry as much as she can.

Heading into the interview feeling good and confident Brooke feels hopefyul,

she is greeted by a tall pretty assistant manager apologising because the manager didn't make it back in time for the interview so she would be interviewing.

As the interview draws to a close, "knock,knock"

"did i miss the interview?" a worried voice said as he enters the office..

" come on in no we are just about to finish" replied the assistant manager.

as he walks through the door un aware of what was happening he puts out his hand and said "hi sorry I'm late, I'm levi the manager of this branch."

as we look at each other I reach out my hand to shake his hand, we both look at each other realising we  have met before.

we finish the interview without addressing the fact that we know each other,

we will be in touch.

while driving back home shocked by the realisation that my room mate not only is the manager but he was supposed to be interviewing me,

but I couldn't over think on this would this jepodise me getting the job I really needed would it help me get the job I was feeling so anxious about what happened.

i headed home although I hadn't eaten today levi would be home soon, and we are going out for tea to welcome me to the house.

"how would this meal go" i thought to myself, "ding" my phone went off as I looked at it levi arrived home.

levi walks through the door and sees me crying, "whats wrong?" he asked.

" I got the job, how did I get the job?" I questioned,

levi went on to explain how the assistant manager was impressed by my manorism, my fast thinking and my cv.

feeling rather strange about the whole thing, I asked " so I got the job on my own merritts?".

" yes, it was all you Brooke you earned this job" he replied.

wiping my eyes "so its a double celebration tonight",

I make a phone call to my manager "I QUIT, effective immediately" as I slam down the phone feeling liberated I jump with excitement, levi joins in as he can see I'm so happy with what has just happened.

"now go get ready for out night out its gunno be great".
