ABOUT a month after Saraswati Puja, one Sunday afternoon, the boys were playing cricket on the field near the mouth of their lane. Except Rajesh and Raju, all the other boys of the neighbourhood were on the field that afternoon.
Later, after the boys had played for about an hour, Raju came to the field. A red kite attached to a kite-reel was in his hands. He went to a corner of the field and began to fly the kite. He struggled to put the kite into the sky. However, after struggling for sometime, he managed to put the kite up into the sky.
Emon was fielding near the corner of the field, where Raju was. When he saw Raju’s kite up in the sky, he ran to Raju and said: “Aoi Raju, haven’t seen you for many days.”
