Since then over the years many of my readers, friends and well-wishers had pointed out many mistakes – some trivial, some serious – in the print of the above two novels. Some of my more serious readers had, I remember, suggested at various times that these mistakes could easily be corrected if my novels were properly edited. During the following months I got many interesting and helpful suggestions from my well-wishers and friends regarding editing and correcting my first two novels. Looking back to those days a few names stand out for their hard work and sincere effort while giving me support and helpful suggestions in editing the novels. First I would like to thank my sister, Lopamudra and my uncle, Padip Goswami, for pointing out many silly mistakes in a way only they can. Then I would also like to thank my uncle, H. K. Bhattacharyya, and my childhood friend, Anupam Barua, for giving me support and advice regarding the general editing.
