* * * * When the darkness lifted, the first thought in my head was the enticing smell that filled my nose. Mmm, that’s Cashel’s smell. Opening my eyes, I blinked to focus. The room was familiar. It was my favourite room in the castle; Cashel’s room. I was in Cashel’s bed, all tucked up and snug. Lucky me. Tansy leant over me, and removed a cool cloth from my forehead. “Welcome back,” she said quietly. Sitting up, she spoke louder. “He’s awake.” In an instant, Cashel and Evie were at my bedside. “Oh, Sebastian!” Evie sounded relieved. “We were so worried. Thank goodness you’re all right.” I looked to Cashel, seeing the worry in his eyes. Feeling guilty, I held out my hand. He took it, holding on tightly. “Sorry,” I told him.
