The lady narrates the whole story to kali, from the beginning to the end In light tone. It's so heart touching. The summary of the story is this. His father had a business with those men. He collected a huge amount of money amounting to 400 thousand naira from them as a loan, assuring the success of his farm land. But unfortunately, a strong wind causes destruction to the farm making him suffer the loss. So when the matter transpires, her dad can't pay the money again. Rather one of those men who owns the lion share from the money seeks for exchange with his daughter for his son. But as this lady declines the request, problems have been surfacing.

From the premise of the narration, the whole situation is caused mlby the farm loss. His father is also not expecting the loss. But the lady blames her father so much, not for the fact he is responsible for the loss but because he actually wants her to marry the old man's son . At least even if he can't pay the money, his only daughter should be valued. She is not an asset that can be exchanged for money ordinarily. The lady seems to be a modest one.
