EPISODE TWO
The evening breeze blew gently, carrying the softness of the sea. Kali sat behind the wheel of his sleek black SUV, his two cousins riding along—one short, the other averagely tall.
Dressed in a blue hoodie, matching trousers, black head warmer, and sneakers, Kali looked effortlessly enchanting. Yet his expression betrayed discomfort.
“Guys, where are we even going? We’re just driving around like lost sheep with no destination,” he muttered.
Kali hated leaving his comfort zone. Mingling with people was his greatest weakness—solitude had always been his shield.
“We’ll hit the biggest restaurant in town. There’s a party there tonight,” the short cousin replied with excitement.
“You don’t have to look so stiff,” the tall cousin added. “Your parents finally gave you some freedom. You’re safe with us. Don’t panic.”
Their SUV raced down the well-lit city road until it slowed and veered left. Ahead stood a massive structure glittering under the night sky. The sign read: No Hinder.
The restaurant looked like a palace—majestic, aesthetic, and alluring. Kali’s jaw dropped slightly. For the first time in his life, he was witnessing such grandeur.
At least, he thought, this place seemed safe. It wasn’t a place for troublemakers or the poor; it was a sanctuary for the wealthy. Perhaps here, he could relax.
They pulled into the parking lot. Armed security officers in black suits stood at strategic corners, their physiques intimidating, their weapons sophisticated. The sheer luxury was overwhelming.
“Wow,” Kali whispered.
The tall cousin chuckled. “Told you. This place fits us perfectly. Look around—children of governors, senators, oil tycoons. All rich, all expensive.”
Kali frowned. “I hope there won’t be too many girls inside.”
The short cousin smirked. “And if there are?”
“You know him,” the tall cousin teased. “Our Mr. Holy Guy—always hating women.”
Kali’s face hardened. “He’s right. I won’t like it if there are.”
“Relax. Nothing will happen,” the short cousin assured him, gripping his hand lightly as they walked inside.
