The New Role

"I thought you said the housekeeper to replace Rayla was on the way? Where is she now?!" His voice boomed through the phone, and the woman on the other end had to take it out of her ears for a few seconds before putting it back in. Roy was upset, and she knows that when he's angry, things don't typically go well. How does she convey to him that the lady in question has not yet arrived? He will have her head if she dares to say that, so she must respond quickly. Despite having a vast list of ladies to satiate his s****l urges, Roy dislikes the feminine gender. He just f***s them. "She's on her way, Sir. "I'm pretty sure there is traffic, which is why she hasn't arrived yet," she added. Good. At least she was able to rescue the situation. Roy snarled and ended the call. It was meaningless to keep talking anyhow. Roy looked around his residence after the call and scowled in disgust. The place was a mess. He had expected the home to be like this after his brief s*x with red-haired girl number one, which is why he required a housekeeper right now. His last one had departed after being admitted to college, and the oldest one he has will be unable to manage everything on her own, so he considered getting a new one. Although his last housekeeper was a beautiful lady, he had sworn not to sexualize any of his employees. He preferred regular whores. He'll simply have to leave to work and hope she's resumed before he returns; else, he'll make sure the Agency doesn't have another customer in the future. A bunch of fools. Rita arrived in Lagos. Nigeria's commercial capital after sobbing and comforting everyone in the village. She was liked by the majority of the children in the village, so she knew her departure would be missed, but it wouldn't stop her from pursuing her aspirations. After leaving the village, she boarded a cab going to her directions. They took her all the way to Lagos. She couldn't sleep during the entire travel. She was captivated by the roads, streets, automobiles, and eye-catching buildings on the island. She was tempted to question the driver at one point if indeed people living inside the buildings were actually black-skinned like her. It was simply too much for her, and everything she saw left her feeling overwhelmed. She had seen several before they were taken to live at the village, but that was twenty years previously. She hasn't left the village in 20 years. Although some folks who live Lagos but come visiting the village every Christmas had told them stories of the outside world, it was nothing compared to what she was witnessing. She would undoubtedly establish herself and ensure her own success. The driver, who noticed how curiously she looked at things, made it his business to explain them to her. He understood that life in the village may make you ignorant to what was going on in the outside world. He simply wishes she could find what she's looking for. For someone as naïve as she is, the outside world might be frightening. When they got at her destination, he assisted her with her luggage before saying her farewell. She checked the sign at the door to make sure she was in the proper location before entering inside. When she walked in, she noticed everyone was working hard, so she sought assistance from one of the women behind the desk. "Hello." She welcomed with a cheerful grin. "I'm Rita Johnson..." "You're the b***h that's supposed to resume work today?" Rita nodded cheerfully, taking no offense at the girl's choice of words. It was almost as if she hadn't heard them. "Yes, that's me." "And you just arrived. "Madam George will surely have your head for this," she seethed before calling her supervisor. Rita wrinkled her brow in perplexity. What exactly were they talking about? Soon, a woman in her early thirties emerged from the office and approached her. George saw the condition of Rita's clothes. She would have remarked on it if she had time, but she does not. She is already walking on fire. "Rita Johnson?" "That's me." Rita answers while facing her. "I was thinking of replacing you with someone else had it been you came later than this but let's just say that luck is on your side." She informed her with a straight face. "The person you're supposed to be working for is already mad so you have to leave before you infuriate him any further" She wrote an address on a piece of paper and handed it to her. "Twenty percent of your earnings go to the agency. I cleared things up with your new employer," she added, while Rita was busy analyzing the contents of the document, she had just handed her. "How do I get there?" Rita replied. "Are you kidding me right now?" Rita apologized "I'm very sorry" as the woman's tone shifted. "I've never been to the city so I don't feel comfortable around here." "Simply get a taxi and let him know the location. The location where you'll be working is well-known across the city. Rita smiled and thanked the woman heartily before leaving the office. Everything is gradually falling into place. It's just a question of time now. Rita successfully booked a cab after waving for more than fifteen minutes. She was not shocked because the city was quite bustling. She provided the driver her address, and he took her to the place. After paying him, she picked up her luggage and stood at the entrance to the large edifice that resembled a palace. The word 'Dragon's was written in gold on the sign in front of the gate. Whoever lives here is extremely affluent and accomplished, and she has always desired this lifestyle. She murmured a brief prayer before heading to security.
