About an hour had passed when Charles arrived, bringing with him the latest model Pagani sports car.
"Peter, here are the keys to the latest Pagani. The car's parked outside. Consider it a token of apology from the Taylor family."
I stared at the keys in shock.
'The latest Pagani? How much does that even cost?'
I glanced at Murphy, unsure of what to do, but Murphy didn't seem surprised at all.
"It's a gift from the Taylor family, so just accept it."
"Thank you."
I quickly took the keys, feeling their heavy weight in my hand.
