CHAPTER TWO In the days following the nocturnal blow-job incident, Frank and I prowled around each other like two tigers in a cage. Even the kids could detect something was wrong, and stayed out of our way. Increasingly I realized that my vow that night that drastic measures had to be taken was a pledge that had to be kept if our marriage was going to be saved. Since Frank seemed to have a vested interest in sulking, I figured it was up to me to start the ball rolling. I went to the library and checked out all the books available on marriage.
