This year, Cari had so many things to be thankful for, an amazing man that made her heart sing, children who were happy and healthy, wonderful friends, and a thriving business that enabled her to give back to others. Surprisingly, after a night with very little sleep, she felt like she could conquer the world. When she lightly kissed Ray goodbye, he hadn’t stirred. He was exhausted. She got his coffee ready and left a note reminding him they were going to start delivering the baskets in the early afternoon.
She arrived at the shop early to enjoy the peace and quiet before chaos would erupt. The shop would be packed with customers picking up items for their holiday meals and dropping off last-minute additions to the food baskets. Generosity seemed to be contagious.
