Abigail’s POV I woke up to get some water, and that was when I saw Elijah coming in through the main entrance. He took off his shoes, slipped on his slippers, and walked like he was in a daze. I placed the glass of water on the table and walked toward him. “Are you alright? And where have you been?” I asked. He didn’t respond. He just stood there, looking dazed by God knows what. I gently shook his arm. “Elijah, what is it?” I asked again. He turned to look at me, his face holding an expression I couldn’t figure out. Without saying a word, Elijah walked over to the couch.
