*Mathew's POV* I'd been rehearsing this for three days. Every word, every pause, every possible response Helen might give. I'd played out a dozen different scenarios in my head, but now that I was standing outside the marketing department watching her work through the glass partition, all my carefully planned words evaporated. It was Friday afternoon. Most people had already left for the weekend. Helen sat at her desk, focused on her laptop, a slight smile playing at her lips as she typed. That smile.
