Monday morning at Walters Enterprise felt different.
The usual hum of productivity was underscored by something else-whispers, furtive glances, hushed conversations that stopped abruptly when certain people walked by. The office was buzzing with rumors about Helen and Kelvin.
Grace had done her job well. By Monday morning, everyone knew that Mathew had confessed his feelings to Helen on Friday, and that she'd rejected him because her heart belonged to someone else. And everyone had drawn the same conclusion about who that someone else was.
