Once she visited all the huts, she went back to the first one she had entered and sat on the bed, thinking. She had a good idea, now, of the total food available in the village. She also knew, approximately, how much she needed to survive each day. She put those two facts together and determined that if she was careful and did not eat too much, she could last here for about two months. Sixty days or so. That seemed like a long time, but what if no one came to get her? After all, no one knew she was here. She would have to follow those trails and see if they led to gardens. Or she would have to see what she could eat of the local plants. Were there animals? There might be. Some she would have to catch and kill and eat. Even if there weren’t big animals, she knew that there must be bugs. I
