Reyna’s POV
We entered the room, but froze at the door when I noticed someone already in the room. It was Gerald and his arms crossed and a scowl on his face.
I can sense the tension in the air as Gerald eyes narrow at Liam.
"Where have you been?" Gerald demanded, his voice firm and authoritative.
"I specifically told you to keep an eye on her, not take her gallivanting around the woods!"
Liam took a step forward, defensive.
"That's not true, I was just trying to help her clear her head. We didn't do anything strenuous.”
Gerald immediately cut him off, "You know she's still recovering! You were reckless and endangered her life, your life and her baby's life. Irvin said she needs rest and relaxation, not some romantic escapade in the woods!
