“We have been taught that there is a fixed, impermeable line between good and evil, with the comforting belief that We and our Kin are on the good side and They, Those others are on the bad side…….”
- Philip Zimbardo

Every day, there are screams but, it's hard to hear them in a city that never sleeps. As confident in tomorrow as the inhabitants of Northview city seemed, the end was drawing nearer and nearer. Someone had to do something. And that was exactly what was being done here. A necessary evil.
Juni, the Doctor's assistant would always wonder why the test subjects had to be conscious when they underwent the process. Sometimes they begged for their lives, sometimes they threatened to kill the Doctor, and sometimes, like today - they didn't even fight it at all.
Today there were two subjects in their individual tubes. In the beginning, there used to be as many as ten. They were running massive tests. Now the administration had been narrowed down to a gas and the two subjects each represented the two major beings in the city - a human and, a werewolf.
When the Doctor released the gas into their tubes, one of them remained standing, shaking and saying his prayers. The other one went down. Before he stopped kicking, he was screaming. And no one heard him.
"How close are we?", the Doctor's closest ally had asked.
"Soon".
