I need a distraction. But the kind of distraction I’m looking for is gonna cost me more than I’m currently willing to lose’ It’s excruciatingly painful watching my roomate go through her very first heartbreak. On one hand, I get it. She thought she was going to be with this guy forever, that he was going to be her happy ever after. But on another hand, I just want to shake her and remind her ‘Ellie, we’re only 21! There’s plenty of time to find the right guy’. I can’t exactly say that though because it could come off as insensitive. Plus I’ve never suffered from a break up that mattered. To try to understand what she’s going through, I imagine if Connor left me. How would I feel? The thought of Connor leaving seems a little too real right now.
