The unexpected short circuit on Viking 01 was unusual, as it cut down all the systems at once, leaving the craft dark and silent. The members of the crew hurled outside their cabins, torches in hands, trying to figure the situation out. The alarm lights were off, and it seemed that the system had been damaged earlier. The reports of AIs stated that the electric impulse couldn’t have gotten into the emergency lightning system. Woznansky, evidently confused, and all of his men confirmed that.
