Chapter 26
Ron hadn’t called him and Chris knew James would be busy, so he decided to settle in and clean up a bit. He took his duffle bag to the bedroom, which was off the living room, and put it on the unmade bed. He glanced around the room, hoping to find more pictures of Ron and the mystery man, but he just saw the bed flanked by nightstands with matching lamps on them. A billy club was tucked between the bed and the nightstand closest to him. Across from the foot of the bed was a dresser with a TV on the wall above it. On the floor in the closet in front of him was a small pile of dirty clothes.
Ron had always been a slob, that wasn’t a surprise, but the mess Chris faced today was welcomed. Cleaning the place up would help take his mind off everything and he would start with laundry
