LIAM’S POV:
Pack hunting was tonight and Liam was finally going to be away from all the marriage fever madness that plagued his mother. She was an old widowed wolf, ofcourse she wanted her eldest son to give her some grandcubs before she ascended.
He had only just become alpha like five minutes ago and they were already bothering him about taking a Luna to form an alliance with another pack. No clan would pass an offer to form an alliance with the Almighty Lupus Regalis clan.
There were so many to choose from. From the pretty blonde haired green eyed girl from the Emberpine clan or the fierce looking dark haired damsel from the Shadowclaw clan. But none of them piqued his interest.
One part of him wanted to make his family proud and form the most beneficial alliance like his father and his father before him but his wolf wanted something else. Her—the annoying voice in his head he couldn't control nor seem to get rid of.
He hadn't heard her mindless whining for a few days now but the beast inside him did not forget her.
“Alpha Liam, the cubs have been taken care of and the pack is prepared for tonight.” Peter, his Beta, announced.
“Great. And the Gammas in training?” Liam enquired.
“All ready, Alpha.”
“Sound the horn, it’s hunting time.” Liam declared with a stern tone, hungry to let off some steam.
The horn blared loudly and like a response to a call, each werewolf trooped out into the night as they swiftly morphed into their wolves and growled and howled to the moon.
The alpha followed right after them and as the wind brushed through his brown fur he could hear…
“...pills…need pills…”
He could hear her voice again even though the connection felt weak. She sounded very desperate.
Liam's wolf really wanted to talk with her again but he had the responsibility of leading his pack out to hunt in the woods tonight so he shook the thought off and continued to race with the rest of his pack.

“MATE!” His wolf yelled out.
Liam was drooling, his claws and canines were out in the open. The object of his desire— Kyra— was standing right in front of him, completely frozen with fear.
Liam tried his best to control his wolf but couldn't. His wolf was in full control now. He grabbed her arms as she screamed in fear and attacked her neck with his canines but, for some reason, couldn't get the job done.
Some sort of force field was holding him back. It was like a restraint. Liam could not physically bring himself to Mark Kyra.
Frustrated, his wolf howled. But he wasn't going to admit defeat. Liam threw Kyra over his shoulder like she was no lighter than a feather and rode away with the rest of the pack not minding that she had passed out from the shock.

“That was the shortest hunt in the history of Lupus Regalis.” Peter, Liam's beta whispered as they both watched Kyra as she lay peacefully unconscious on the bed.
“How do you think she'd react once she's awake?” Liam asked, his temple scrunched up with worry.
“ ‘Can't say for sure. Do you think she knows?” Peter asked but he knew Liam didn't have an answer either.
Liam had just brought this strange lady into the clan with zero explanations. He didn't tell them about hearing her voice in his head. Mind linking was completely normal for werewolves. Everyone just assumed it was one of the members of the clan he was linking with whenever he was caught talking to himself.
But Peter knew. They had been best friends practically since they were born and their bond grew so much that their minds involuntarily linked.
Peter could hear some of what Liam was thinking and it worked the same the other way around as well.
Even though mind linking was not something that was strange to them, it was never at such a long distance and never with a human.
So not only was the woman in Liam's bed not human but she was somehow even more strange and different.
“What did mother say?”
“She hasn't said anything. But you know how she can get about new things.” Peter replied.
“She should be happy I've found a mate. She has been the one pestering me about getting a luna and here she is. All I need is for her to wake up and accept me.”
“What if she doesn't though?”
Liam looked at Peter, confused.
“What if she's not happy?”
“No, not your mother.” Peter stated. “I mean the girl. What if she doesn't accept you. You literally abducted her. According to human law, this is kidnapping.”
“That's a really strong word.”
“But it's true. This is all very confusing, alpha Liam. The members of the clan have began talking…”
A mumble escaped Kyra's lips and both Liam and Peter were quick to notice. They both watched as she slowly opened her eyes, as the horror filled her orbs and as she recollected the events of the night.
“Who are these people, where am I?”
“Kyra, please calm down.” he replied her link and watched her quickly sit up in fear. “You're safe now.”
“How did you do that? How did you hear me? How do you know my name?!” She enquired. The panic, very evident in her words.
“It's me.” Liam said as he got closer to her. “ Liam”
Kyra's eyes widened.
“No… no that's not possible. You're not real.”
“But I am. See?” He said as he gently took her hand in his. She felt an unnatural tingle before she quickly yanked her arm away.
“No… no! Let me go or I'm calling the cops.”
Liam and Peter sent each other an amused look before they both let out a little chuckle.
“What's funny?”
“Honey, this dynasty has enough power to buy the entire police force in this state.” Peter stated with a little boast.
“What …what I saw was real? Werewolves?”
“You're safe ok? We're not going to kill you or eat you. And yes, we are werewolves.”
Kyra motioned a little backwards once more, trying but failing at getting away from Liam and Peter.
“How are you doing that, how are you hearing my thoughts …” she let out in a fearful whisper.
“Besides,” Liam continued. “that's a really outdated way of living for werewolves. We are civilized and evolved. We don't eat or kill humans.”
“At least not the one's that don't deserve it.” Peter added with a silent whisper as Liam shot him a knowing look.
“Then why did you form a circle around me and try to bite me?” Kyra asked tentatively.
“Because, Kyra, wolves can smell their own. And you smell like one of us.” Liam revealed.
“But then again you don't.” Peter added.
“Wait. I don't… I don't understand. What are you saying_”
“Yes, Kyra. You have werewolf blood flowing through your veins from this very clan.”
