Williams I practically slunk out of the party, missing faces that, frankly, I would have loved to see—old friends, new friends, and the like. I stumbled out to the street, making a beeline straight for my car. The speed at which I drove to Rex Industries was so fast that I knew I would have been pulled over several times if not for the fake siren I kept on my dashboard, alerting people that I was probably law enforcement. Luckily for me, I wasn’t stopped on the way. Of course, Ambrose had long since hung up on me, but there was no way I was going to let myself be humiliated in front of him without a chance to redeem myself.
