Michelle It was, to say the least, an awkward ride with Barry. I kept my eyes glued to the road as he drove back to my apartment. He had played a strange song that only seemed to make things more uncomfortable. I pursed my lips together. Awkward moments were my kryptonite. I huffed out and looked away to my hands instead, twiddling my thumbs didn't seem to help. “So,” I drawled out. “What was this you said you were doing in Chinatown?” I turned towards him. His face was focused on the road, looking as though he didn’t want to answer, like he was ready to keep the ride awkward until we reached my apartment. “Gang business,” he said in a gruff voice. I opened my mouth to speak. “Don’t ask, it'll make your ears bleed,” he said without looking at me. “s**t,” he cursed under his breath
