Michelle Home was basically where the heart was, or at least that’s how the song went. That was what I was humming when I stepped off the airplane, still in my navy blue silk dress—the one that had drawn eyes to me throughout the entire plane ride. Eventually, someone graciously gave me a jacket. The flip-flops I wore didn’t exactly go well with the outfit, but who cared? I was home, and that’s all that mattered.
