I woke up seeing my childhood best friend sleeping in my arms and it was a sight I always love to see.

Well he has been my first crush and his still my crush and I hope one day he would realize. I'm afraid to tell him my feelings so as not to spoil our friendship.

Well if he can't be my lover then he can always be and would forever be my best friend.

We've been best friends since childhood and we attended a lot of sleepovers. Our parents built a cottage for us and we always stayed there.

Xander looked at his time and shouted damn.

It's almost class time. We have just 45 minutes to get ready, eat and get to school.

Instead of you yelling love why don't we just go freshen up. Besides we're not late yet.

They went separate ways. Zach entered the bathroom while Xan went to the bathroom in the other room. It was not up to 15 minutes when they both got ready. They rushed down stairs heading to the door but stopped as we heard a voice calling us from behind.

Hey guys aren't you going to eat? I've made breakfast already...

Sorry mom but we don't have time right now we are already late for class Xan said in a hurried tone.

We'll eat when we come back.

Xan said and they both left out to the parking lot. Xander entered the driver's seat while Zachary entered the seat next to him. He slipped the key into the ignition and the car roared alive.

They drove to the school and in no time they arrived at school. They came down from the car and headed to the walk way where he saw their friends.

Yo... Zach... Xan... How are you doing today Antonio said smirking as it has been a while since they've seen each other.

We are good. They answered in unison.

And you. Xander asked.

Well, never been better.

Can we start going? It's already time for class. Nora spat angrily.

They all started going to class walking through the walkway. They all went into the class as they all had same class.

Zachary and Xander sat in their usual seat. Xander caught his hand under the table.

Zachary felt the warmth of his touch.

Xander leaned and whispered in his ear...

After saying all those, he kissed him on his cheek and whispered in his ear again...

Bang. The door slammed open cutting them short of their lovie pie drama.

Please wake up I don't want you to pass through the hell of a torture sugar quoted in the form of “Detention”. The last time you passed through this I knew what I had to go through.

You over there! The teacher Mr Johnny pointed out.

The class turned. Well maybe not the whole class but a great number of students turned back including Xander.

He knew he was the one being called out but then just decided to pretend a little.

Me sir? Xander asked biting his lip to stop the laugh treating to come out now.

At that point Xander knew he messed up. He was cooked, he held Zachary's hand. The only charm that could calm him down, he held it tightly like his life depended on him.

Now the two boys where standing in front of Mr Johnny's office.

Zachary was paccing to and fro, while Xander sat down relaxed.

Bro why are you pacing? It's just detention. I'll get pass it babe.

Seeing no response he went on.

I don't like seeing you face any punishment.

Zachary kept on pacing around and kept muttering things only him could hear. Xander who doesn't like seeing him panic grabbed his hand, pulled him on his lap and kissed him. Zachary felt a pause in his heartbeat before it returned back to normal.

Stop pacing love. I would go in now and I would come back in a jiffy so just promise you'd be here when I come out.

I promise. He said back affirmatively.

He took another bold step and gently knock

Come in it's opened. Oh it's you who had the insolent boldness to sleep in my class. Well no need for too much talk.

Take this. He handed Xander a piled paper.

Xander took it and started the work. After a long while, he secretly brought out his phone to chatt Zachary.

Zachary stood up from the chair he was sitting and went directly to the cafeteria. He saw their clicks sitting in a round table eating what they had ordered.

Where is Xander? Antonio asked looking confused because they are always together.

He's facing detention Zachary said.

Hmm... We know that already. Wait is he still undergoing detention?

Yep he is. Well I came to get him food and head back.

[Back at Mr Johnny's office].

Xander was done with the detention and was now outside the office expecting to see Zachary waiting for him but was sad finding out he was not there...

But I told him how bad I wanted to ruffle his hair...

He sighted Xander from afar and ran to meet Kim. He hugged him, ruffled his hair and kissed his forehead.

Shhhh Zachary said after placing his hand on his lip cutting him short of what he was about to say next.

Well I brought you spaghetti Bolognese and meatballs toped with chilled drink and obviously that was what I went to get before you concluded that I left you.

As for the other class it was cancelled so you have to eat fast let's start going home I'm hungry haven't had anything to eat.

You can eat mine in the car.

They stood up went into the parking lot and drove out heading home while Zachary was eating and feeding Xander who was driving. They got home and entered into the house and went upstairs.
