CHAPTER 31: MILLIE.

946 Words
Millie woke up the next morning with a feeling of her throat being dry with her eyes still close to stretch her hands towards her bed side table to get a glass of water, she poured the water into a cup with her eyes slightly opened, an intense headache hit her, she could now feel the consequences of her drinking too much last night. After drinking she placed the cup back on the table with her hand on her head while still struggling to open our eyes wide enough to see. " I hate morning" she murmured as she laid back to get some more sleep ** I hate myself, I just want to be more pretty. Why doesn't he like me*** she had a flashback of herself talking to Nick last night as she put her head out the window of the car screaming. " What was that?" she asked herself trying to recall any other memory " Did that happen or that was just a dream!?" she asked again still getting no answer " What kind of nightmare was that, I even saw Nick. Millie calm down you've thought about his too much and now you're dreaming about him. Let's get some rest before going to work" she said to herself before opening her eyes wide enough for her to see her surroundings. She was shocked to see herself in an unfamiliar place, she wasn't where she thought she was " where am I" she asked about to throw a panic fit, she looked around as she reached out to her phone to check her call logs in order to see who was the last person she called the previous day, her eyes opened more widely when she saw Nick's name as the last call of the previous day. " No! Hell no this must be a dream" she cried out. Millie took the numbers of all the attorneys she was to supervise and now she ended up calling Nickolas and also getting his number. " No I called him while I was drunk, this is bad, really bad. Hold up this means, I'm in Nick's house" she finally connected the dots, almost screaming out her lungs, her phone dropped from her hands to the bed. " How I'm I going to face him?" She asked placing her hand on her hair trying to rip off " Why?" She whined, it was awkward enough for her to have a crush on her Junior and now here she was in his bed,she quickly looked around for her clothes, due to her sleeping yesterday she took it off because she felt she was hot. Millie quickly wore her clothes ready to leave, she grabbed her phone and her purse as well as ignoring the headache she was feeling and stepped out of the room cautiously making sure she did not disrupt anyone sleep and certainly not Nick's. She was embarrassed to be seen, she continued her journey as she stepped into the living room. All her concentration was solely on her leaving that she couldn't hear Lian and Nick chatting at the other end of the living room. " You're awake?" Lian asked as his eyes met her walking pass she stopped her tracks as her eyes met Lian and Nick trying to prepare breakfast. " I'm sorry about last night" she apologized as she sat down together with the boys. Lian had insisted on her staying for breakfast with them and it would have been more awkward and childish if she still left. " There is no need to apologize, I'm glad I was able to help and about bringing you here I had no idea where you stay so I just decided to bring you here" Nick said with a smile as Lian set the plates on the table " Your home is lovely" she said trying to avoid an awkward silence " Oh thank you, it was designed by Lian" he said pointing towards his best friend " I see you two seem pretty close" she said " oh yes we do he's the love of my life" Lian spoke with a smile on his face " Well then your house is really cosy and beautiful" she said as her smile turned to a visible from before the meal started " Where do you live so I could drop you off and we could go to work together" Nick asked " There is no need for that I already called someone who is coming to pick me up" Lian couldn't help but notice the rolling emotion between the two people who sat in front of him and plus with this kind of headache, I think I should take the day off" she said with a smile " That's a good idea" Lian voice trying to get into the conversation after breakfast the person picking her up was already at the Nick's apartment " Thank you and sorry for yesterday again," she apologized " it's not a bother mixbook, I'll see you around" she added before stepping into the vehicle and driving off " You like her don't??" Lian asked looking at Nicholas whose eyes was still pinned on the moving car " I Don't" " Really Really???" " Would you stop, she's my superior!" " Yeah right, I won't because you kept teasing me about Lucas yesterday, it Time for pay back" he said as he watched his friend fall hopelessly in love " But she's pretty anyways" he added before walking into the house leaving his best friend to continue staring at the car which was gradually disappearing from his eye view.
