Saraphina's POV "Help… me, somebody help me, please." A group of people stood around a bonfire. They looked like they were brain-dead at some point—I was so horrified. "What do you want from me… please just let me go," I started pleading with the man who stood aside now, just watching me. No one was saying anything. Everyone was dead silent—just the wood burning under the fire. That was the only sound I was hearing. "Somebody answer me!" I screamed, but they didn’t flinch.
