The Final ShowdownTammy never witnessed the ensuing struggle after Red Beard dragged Ginger to a standstill on the end of a rope. In the conflict, the pig tried to run away which only drew the noose tighter, whilst Red Beard used his hands alternately to move along the rope until he was close to the struggling animal. The tussle became more violent with the desperate pig pulling in all directions, making it difficult for the other hunters to get close enough to give assistance. Suddenly Red Beard drew a short wooden staff from his waist belt and in an attempt to bring an end to the struggle, proceeded to aim blows at the head of the tethered animal. This only enraged Ginger, who immediately wheeled round and rushed at his assailant, causing the big man to fall backwards. In the mayhem the
