“You can kill me like you kill everyone. All you’re doing is proving that you’re my son!”
Dominic nodded at Indie, and she closed her eyes, murmuring beneath her breath as Lyle’s face contorted in agony.
“You don’t get to choose anything anymore.” Dominic spat into his ear, gripping his chin. “Because in striving for the superior race, you made something you never anticipated.”
Lyle’s eyes moved to Indie, his teeth gritting in pain.
“You made someone better than you in every way. Someone more powerful, but someone good. You deserve this.”
Dominic stepped back, driving his fist into Lyle’s chest, gripping his heart as it pumped frantically, blood oozing from his chest.
