“… You’re going to the banquet?”
Jade entered Rose’s room right before it would strike midday and was surprised to find Rose already dressed and ready for the event that would be held at one o’clock.
Rose shrugged her shoulders. There was a sour taste in her mouth left by the thought of going to the event. But she couldn’t just stay and not know what would happen at the event.
“I guess so. I don’t really know what I want to do right now,” Rose said as she sat down in front of the mirror to finish with her makeup. Her glasses were taken off and she applied her eyeshadow but her head concealed her reflection from Jade’s eyes.
“Are you really going to divorce my brother?” Jade’s fingers were intertwined, giving away her hesitancy. What was hesitant about? Asking Rose not to divorce Xander
